Exactly four years ago, I visited our wine merchant SCHMIDT in Hanoi with my daughter Anna as part of our trip to Asia. It was not possible to bring wine as a guest gift to Vietnam, so I brought a piece of vine wood from the Blaufränkisch. It’s unbelievable what has become of it: in the meantime, several vines of Blaufränkisch are thriving in the middle of Hanoi!
